The Hollyread Hall of Fame was initiated by Ms. Johnson on October 16,2006 to truly motivate scholars to read  more and obtain rewards for excelling. During the 2007-2008 school year  10 scholars: Micheal Barrios, Danelis Delgado, Alexandra Garcia, Michael Ivory, Jennifer Jackson, Luis Lara, Hiranya Mir, Darlene Muniz, Wendy Serra and Crystal Serrano met their Reading goals while maintaining high   academics and conduct. At this point, it was decided that the ten scholars along with dedicated faculty and staff would continue promoting literacy. With the supportive team at MLMS a grant was submitted to  Citibank and The Education Fund . Finally, a dream became a reality on September 23,2008 the Hollyread Hall of Fame was selected as the 2008-2009 CITI SUCCESS FUND grant recipient. Upon receiving this Grant the Hollyread Hall of Fame Club transitioned into the Hollyread  Hall of Fame Ambassadors Club vowing to uphold the task of “Building a Nation of Readers”. The first induction ceremony was held in 2008 commending  the following 18 scholars: Adrian Alameda, Stephanie Fouts, Crystal Serrano, Samuel Dorta, Ivan Lee, Bryan Cereijo, Peter Cordero, Jonathan Correra, Tatiana Rodriguez, Aidimer Perez, Claudia Cruz, Anthony Horta, Giselle Cisne, Ronaldo Salas, Victor Corrias, Carolyn Symonette, Daniela Garcia and Eaine  Altamura.
